Q: How much does it cost for my child to play?
A: The rates for different levels of play vary depending on the organization, but most of the time, the level of play is determined by the birth year and age of the player.
Q: How do I know what Age Group my child should play in?
A: Cross-Ice is a smaller version of the game of hockey that is played on a smaller rink. This allows for more space and time for the players to develop their skills.
Q: What is Method Hockey?
A: Hockey is a state of the art training center that uses methods learned by former NHL player Jamie Lundmark to improve all athletes.
Q: How should my child use Method Hockey?
A: Come and work on your shooting, stick handling, or skating skills. You can come one day a week or every day. If you come with your team, you can practice your team’s system or just play some 3 v 3. If you come with your team, you will have a coach. If you come on your own, you will be coached by a former NHL player.
Q: How can I fit this into my schedule?
A: Come to the weight room 30 minutes before or after practice, with your team or any other time (including off days of school) during the week.

Q: How may I register?
A: You can register for Miami Hockey School two ways: online or by mailing in a form. Online registration is the recommended way to register because you will know right away if you got into the week/s you wanted and there is a payment plan available.

A: We offer classes that focus on specific skill sets and trainings. The membership level will determine how many classes you can attend.

A: Your child can wear a heart rate monitor in our gym classes to compete with friends and get points for fun exercises! In our hockey classes, they will learn the methods that Jamie learned as an NHL player and be put in situations to practice those skills.

HOCKEY SEASON AND REGISTRATION DEADLINE?.

Q: What is the cutoff date to register for the upcoming season?
A: Hockey is a great way to get your child active and involved in a team sport. There are many options for equipment and ice time, and the time commitment is typically 1-2 practices and 1 game per week.
Q: What happens on the Hockey side of the center?
A: Your child will wear a heart rate monitor and compete with friends in fun exercises, stick handling, and shooting games. They will also play on a smaller synthetic rink and receive expert coaching from our professional staff.
Q: When is the Ridgewood ice hockey season?
A: The plan is to have recreation teams in the Spring 2020 for Mites/8U (2012 birth year and younger), Squirts/10U (2010-2011 birth years), Pee Wee/12U (2008-2009 birth years) and Middle School (6th-8th grades).

A: The official announcement for the new TSU Hockey team will come at the beginning of next semester. The plan is to drop the puck in Fall/Winter 2024 to kickoff the first official season for TSU Hockey.

Q: What forms are needed for my child to play ice hockey?
A: The Huskies require that all players have one copy of their birth certificate or US passport, as well as one copy of their USA Hockey registration confirmation for the current season. Travel players also need to sign the Travel Commitment Form.

A: We have hours of ice available each week as well as summer camps every week of the summer. We will also have our realistic synthetic ice available over 80 hours per week.
