A: The 5 mile and 5K races begin on Columbus Blvd. (right next to Flair Restaurant), the 2 mile walk begins in front of the Y, and the Y CUP 1 mile run begins on Woodruff Street across from DePaolo Middle School. The Little Fritter Fun Runs begin on North Main Street by the Town Green.

A: No, there are no port-a-potties at the start of the race, but there are port-a-potties located approximately every 5K along the 30K course.

A: The Apple Harvest Festival 5k race in Southington, CT is the last mile of the race. 4th and 5th grade boys and girls in Southington run the last mile of the race.

GETTING STARTED WITH RUNNING AND RACE LOGISTICS.

Q: What kind of weather is typical for the race?

The course is a mix of paved and gravel roads with a few sections of grass/dirt. The road surface is in good condition. Most of the course is flat with a few small hills. The course is marked with spray paint on the road. The start/finish line is located at the Bayview Park.
