Weather is chaotic and unpredictable beyond a few days, while climate is the long-term average weather. A: The stipend for beginning Research Assistants in the Dept. of Atmospheric Sciences is detailed in the Variable Rate RA Salary Schedule on the Graduate School’s website. Out-of-state tuition is waived and in-state tuition is paid for Research Assistants, as is medical, visual and dental insurance.
